Jen Krause

Hayo! I’m Jen, and I’m the gal behind the name. I’m a very open book, I love to smile, and honestly I will probably end up becoming your friend.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from UNT, and I’m a self-taught calligrapher. While everyone else was sketching/painting, I was doodling lyrics and quotes in cursive. After graduating, I realized how much I loved calligraphy (and the wedding industry in general) and started pursuing it full-time. I taught myself to use a nib+ink, and here we are!

I’ve been my own boss since August 2017, and I have loved every second of it. I get downright giddy about new projects, special color palettes, cohesive invitation suites, out-of-the-box signage, and all of the things.

When I’m not working, you can find me cuddling at home with my 2 kitties (Helveticat & Nib), binging The Office, enjoying some champagne on a night out, or traveling to a new place.

The Krause Dudes

Meet my dad, Pete, and two of my big brothers, Joey and Chris. I literally would be lost without my guys.

If you use any of my wood rentals or other various specialty rentals, you betcha that Papa Krause built those from scratch. We do a lot of work out of his garage, and he literally never ever ever says no to a project. (Even though sometimes we have tight deadlines and he may want to.)

And if you see me giggling at a day-of delivery/setup, you betcha that Joey and/or Chris are there helping me carry things, set things up, or make things pretty, all while simultaneously cracking me up. (Oh, and Chris has me take a picture of him in every altar setup so he can “photoshop a pretty girl next to him.”)
